On behalf of my family, I want you to kow how pleased we are with the outstanding service my mother and our family received during her stay at Plum Creek Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.  The staff of RN’s and LVN’s as well as the therapists not only maintained the Hospital Mission Statement, but also went well beyond the scope to ensure my mother received the highest quality and compassionate service possible.

From the moment we checked my mom in to Plum Creek, we were greeted with open arms.  I thought we were being groomed to purchase a car with all the kindness we received.  It did not take long to realize this particular institution thrives on a commitment of service others only talk about.  The brochure state all the amenities and services available while at Plum Creek, but nothing prepared us for the “family treatment” we received.  To say we were merely pleased, impressed, or staisfied would be an understatement.  I am certain the kindness and concern for my mother’s well being by the staff exemplifies what Encore Healthcare promotes and prides itself on.  In my estimation, Plum Creek should serve as a model for all Specialty Hospitals.

We may not have been the easiest family to satisfy, as our requests were extreme and plentiful.  The staff at Plum Creek always net our wishes with the utmost flexibility and courteous service and consistently made the extra effors to assist us.  In particular, Dr. Rankin, took over for Dr. Sames the entire time my mom was treated.  Without  a doubt, I have never met a more caring physician who not only treated the technical aspects, but the emtional as well.  Dr. Rankin knows what it takes to completely care for the patient.  I will forever be grateful to him for making us feel as though my mom his only concern.

    During therapy, Jose Garcia was most gentle and kind while supporting the PTA’s and did a commendable job.  I know he was dependable and felt very comfortable when he assisted my mom from her bed to chair.  All the above individuals are heroes in my eyes and I can only hope others will have opportunies to learn from them.

    Plum Creek Specialty Hospital is in the people business.  If it is true employee’s work harder when they are appreciated, then I sincerely feel you have the right people in place.  I was truly inspired by the wounderful individuals who are the heart of the team at Plum Creek.  The administrator certainly has a “blueprint to success” and he and his staff are to be commended.
